Mary “Evelyn” Monteleone, 81, of Pine Township, Grove City, passed away Friday morning at her home.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1933, in Ganister, Blair County, to the late Stephen Verbonitz and Frances Mildred Dellich. After the death of her father, Evelyn was raised by her mother and stepfather, John Fitzingo.

Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of the Church of The Beloved Disciple, Grove City.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Frances Texter and her husband, Harvey, of Cranberry Township, and her two brothers, Michael Verbonitz and his companion, Mildred, and Gary Fitzingo and his wife, Donna, all of Boyers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William James “Billy” Monteleone, and her sister, Margaret Verbonitz.

Monteleone — A memorial Mass for Mary “Evelyn” Monteleone, who passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in The Church of The Beloved Disciple, 1310 S. Center Street Ext., Grove City, with Father Michael Allison as celebrant. Burial will be in the Epiphany Catholic Cemetery, Boyers.Arrangements are by theCunningham Funeral Home, Grove City.
