Charlene M. Young
Mrs. Charlene M. Young, 78, of Portersville passed away unexpectedly Saturday at her home.
Mrs. Young was born on June 15, 1936, to the late Clarence and Ellen Ellefson Moore.
She graduated from Muddy Creek High School.
Charlene was a very active member of the Portersville Bible Church. For her church, she had served as a leader for the Pioneer Girls Youth Group, a Sunday school teacher and the Dorcas Circle Ladies Group. Charlene was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Miles Heitzenrater of Perry Township, Barbara and Douglas Brenneman of New Castle and Elaine and Fred Clem of Perry Township; her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Debbie Young of Perry Township; her nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Eric and Daniel Heitzenrater, Josh Brenneman, Renee Hazlet, Rachelle Drake, Ryan Clem, and Seth and Matthew Young, and her 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, E. Louise Duncan of Portersville.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F. “Art” Young, whom she married on Feb. 14, 1953, and who passed away on Aug. 1, 2013; her granddaughter Kimberly Heitzenrater, her two sisters, Virginia Porter and Jean Miller, and her two brothers, Frank and Samuel Moore.
Young — Visitation for Mrs. Charlene M. Young, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in theSamuel Teolis Funeral Home, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. to services at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Portersville Bible Church with the Rev. Michael S. Charles and Charlene's son-in-law, the Rev. Doug Brenneman, officiating.
