SRU grabs PSAC berth with win
Malcolm Richardson had a big night for the Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team with 25 points and 12 rebounds as The Rock downed Edinboro University on the road Wednesday night, 75-64.
The Rock (17-7 overall, 12-6 in the PSAC-West) also got 15 points and 11 rebounds from Antonio Butler.
With the win, The Rock clinched a spot in the PSAC playoffs.
SRU, which leads Division II in rebounds, got 58 more against Edinboro.
Women’s Basketball
Taylor Siggers scored 18 points, but SRU fell on the road to Edinboro, 79-56.
Despite the loss, The Rock (9-13, 5-13) remained just a game behind Pitt-Johnstown for the sixth spot in the PSAC-West and the final playoff spot.
There are four games remaining.
