SV grad Koontz continues lacrosse

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Seneca Valley graduate Maddie Koontz is entering her sophomore season in lacrosse at Lynchburg University.

A midfielder, Koontz scored seven goals and added two assists for the Hornets last year. Lynchburg opens the season Feb. 25 at the University of Mary Washington.

Karns City girls play for KSAC title

CLARION — Karns City’s girls basketball team will play Venango Catholic for the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Class AA title at 6 p.m. Friday at Clarion University.
