Eva T. Matteoni, 89, formerly of South Street in Butler, passed away Wednesday in the Chicora Medical Center.

Born on Nov. 4, 1925, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Emma Guadagni Matteoni.

Eva was a homemaker. She also enjoyed music and reading.

She was a member of the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by her niece, Rena Staryat of Butler; her nephew, Donald Matteoni of Butler; her great-niece, Kristin Staggers and her husband, Mike, of Butler; her two great-nephews, Michael Matteoni and his wife, Amy, of Butler, and David Matteoni and his wife, Deneen, of Cranberry Township; her sister-in-law, Gladys Matteoni of Butler; and her six great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her two brothers, Rene Matteoni and Peter Matteoni.
