Grace L. McKinnis
Grace L. McKinnis, 97, of Butler passed away at 5:44 a.m. Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.
She was born on May 17, 1917, in Penn Township, to the late Harry Hoyt Hemphill and Anna Sophia Klinger Hemphill.
Mrs. McKinnis was a graduate of Karns City High School.
She worked as an office manager at Ken McKinnis Construction.
Mrs. McKinnis attended the Community Alliance Church. She was a great prayer warrior and enjoyed gardening and her family, and loved playing dominoes.
Mrs. McKinnis is survived by her two daughters, Lou Ann Gould and her husband, Kenneth, of Butler and Jeanne Lynn Wilkerson and her husband, Everett R., of Worthington, Ohio; her three grandsons, Brian S. Gould, Kevin A. Gould and Mark E. Menrath; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Walter McKinnis, who she married on Nov. 16, 1940, and who passed away on March 5, 1979, and her two brothers.
McKinnis — The friends of Grace L. McKinnis, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, will be received from 3 p.m. to funeral services at 5 p.m. Thursday at theThompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Dr. Dennis L. Krajacic of the Community Alliance Church officiating.
