Susan E. Middendorf Peffer
Susan E. Middendorf Peffer, 72, of Zelienople passed away Sunday surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 15, 1942, in Eau Claire, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rose Fitzpatrick Middendorf.
Susan was a faithful and active member of the St. Gregory Catholic Church.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Susan devoted her professional life to caring for others. She worked as a private duty certified nursing assistant with many elders in the community. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 54 years, James L. Peffer Jr.; her two sons, James L. Peffer III of Harmony and Michael C. (Peggy) Peffer of New Wilmington; her grandson, James L. Peffer IV; her brother, Pat (Karen) Middendorf of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; her special life-long friend, Carol Wolfe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Susan was known as “Gram,” as she and Pappy lovingly raised their grandson, James L. Peffer IV, as well as opened her door and heart to several of James' friends.
Peffer — The Peffer family will host a private blessing service for Susan E. Middendorf Peffer, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at theBoylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Susan will be laid to rest at the St. Gregory Catholic Church Cemetery.A memorial service will be later in her honor.In lieu of flowers, the Peffer family asks that memorial contributions in Susan's honor be submitted to the St. Gregory School, 2 W.
