Hawks topple Golden State
ATLANTA — Jeff Teague scored 23 points and the Atlanta Hawks overcame Golden State’s one-two backcourt punch with balance, beating the Warriors 124-116 on Friday night in a showdown between the NBA’s two conference leaders.
It was tied at halftime and Atlanta led by four entering the final period. Back-to-back 3-pointers by Mike Scott and Kyle Korver, who each had 17 points, helped stretch the lead.
Al Horford had 12 points and 14 rebounds for Atlanta.
Golden State’s one-two punch of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson did do some damage.
Pelicans 116, Thunder 113
OKLAHOMA CITY — Anthony Davis scored 41 points and hit a 3-pointer as time expired to lift New Orleans past Oklahoma City.
Davis also grabbed 10 rebounds and outdueled Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, who had a career-high 48 points to go with 11 assists.
