Edson L. 'Ed' Bonnett
Edson L. “Ed” Bonnett, 65, of Rimersburg passed away unexpectedly Sunday at his home.
Born on March 31, 1949, in Rimersburg, Ed was the son of the late Joe and Virginia Milner Bonnett.
A 1967 graduate of Union High School, Ed was a lifetime resident of Rimersburg.
On June 24, 1972, he married the former Mary Lou DeCorte. She survives.
Ed was a heavy equipment mechanic for 30 years for Bracken's Construction. He previously worked for RexHide in East Brady for a few years and spent 18 years with Waste Management in West Sunbury until his retirement in 2011.
Ed loved working on his family's dairy farm, was a devoted Steelers fan and loved time spent with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Bonnett of Rimersburg; his son, Joe Bonnett of Rimersburg; his sister, Beverly Wright of Rimersburg; his brother, Larry Bonnett (Clara) of Lexington, N.C.; and his many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Ballantine, and his brother-in-law, Donald Wright.
Bonnett— The friends of Edson L. “Ed” Bonnett, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Buechele Funeral Home, 707 Kelly's Way, East Brady.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev.
