Lawrence D. 'Buzz' Shoop
Lawrence D. “Buzz” Shoop, 80, of Zelienople passed away Sunday.
Born on May 29, 1934, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of the late Chester G. and Stephanie Vogel Shoop.
Buzz was a member of the English Lutheran Church.
He was very artistic and painted for several companies in the Zelienople area. In his free time, Buzz enjoyed gardening, woodworking, making clocks and painting. Above all, he was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Buzz leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 59 years, Carol Bennett Shoop, who he married on July 15, 1955; his two sons, Larry D. Shoop Sr. and his wife, Martha, of Zelienople and Richard C. Shoop and his wife, Dorothy, also of Zelienople; his two grandchildren, Alyssa Shoop and Larry D. Shoop Jr.; his two brothers, Alan Anderson of Johnsonburg and Chester Shoop of New Brighton; and his sister, Shirley Hughes of Fawn Township.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Shoop.
Shoop— The Shoop family will receive friends of Lawrence D. “Buzz” Shoop, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. John K. Jefferis and Rev. James Sodona co-officiating.
