Edward Sterns Powell Jr.
Edward Sterns Powell Jr., 76, passed away Wednesday at the New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, Ohio.
Mr. Powell was born on May 12, 1938, in Butler, a son of the late Edward Sterns Powell Sr. and Pearl Dick Powell.
He attended the Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Elyria, Ohio.
He was employed as a project manager at U.S. Steel in Lorain, with 36 years of service, retiring in 1997.
He enjoyed traveling in his motor home and spending quality time with his family and dancing.
Mr. Powell is survived by his son, Edward (Candy) Powell; his daughters, Jan Powell and Cheryl (Randy) Ives, and his grandchildren, Brian and Kiley Powell and McKenzie and Mallory Ives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey H. Kiley Powell, and his sisters, Dorothy McKinley and Donna Carpenter.
