Volunteer firefighters quickly extinguished a truck fire Sunday afternoon after the vehicle exploded in flames inside a locked and gated large vehicle repair facility on Route 19. No one was injured. Todd Rice, fire chief for the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company, said a call came in around 4:20 p.m. about a truck on fire. Rice said three firetrucks and about 20 firefighters responded to Penn Commercial Vehicle Solutions at 21260 Route 19, where a large FedEx truck was on fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
