Rue Ann McElhinny Moore
Rue Ann McElhinny Moore, 83, of Evans City passed away Saturday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born on June 30, 1931, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Hutchinson McElhinny.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the St. Matthias Catholic Church in Evans City for many years. She retired from Weyerhaeuser, and she enjoyed cross-stitching, knitting and watching the Steelers.
She is survived by her four daughters, Judy Garrard of Lake Worth, Fla., Joyce Moore of Iowa City, Iowa, Karen Frank of Bethesda, Md., and Diane Moore of Evans City; her son, Scott Moore of Appleton, Wis.; her two sisters, Betsy “Gert” Darling and Pat Hughes; her five brothers, Paul “Spike,” Ron “Bones,” Jerry, Zeno and John “Twerp” McElhinny; her 11 grandchildren; and her great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Moore on Oct. 15, 2010; her two sisters, Belle McElhinny and Nancy “Din” Bogan, and her two brothers; Sam and Dan McElhinny.

Main St., Evans City.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Matthias Catholic Church, 417 E. Main St., Evans City, with the Father Lawrence R. Smith, celebrant.
