Mass will be celebrated at 5 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., to pray for the sanctity of life and the safety of those traveling to Washington, D.C.
A bus will leave from St. Michael at 6 a.m. Thursday to travel to Washington, D.C., for the March for Life.
HARMONY — The Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., will resume a schedule of flea markets, beginning at 8 a.m. Feb. 7 in its Stewart Hall. Food will be available.Markets also are scheduled for March 7 and April 4.Proceeds from a museum booth benefit museum operations.Donations of clean, quality items for the museum booth may be left at the parking lot entrance to Stewart Hall Feb. 5 and 6. Lifesteps will offer free Child Check screenings for children from birth to age 5.9 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 2 at the Butler YMCA, 339 N. Washington St.9 a.m. to noon Feb. 23 at Lifesteps Butler County Program Center, 383 New Castle Road.The screening assesses a child's development in playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking.A Child Check visit takes about 30 minutes, and the results are discussed immediately with the parents.Appointments are recommended. PORTERSVILLE — Portersville Christian School, 343 Portersville Road, will have an information night and open house at 7 p.m. Feb. 9 for families interested in enrolling students for the 2015-16 school year. An additional information night and open house will be at 7 p.m. March 19.The school is accepting student applications and registrations before the release of next year's tuition schedule at the end of March.
