Margaret Balph

Margaret B. Balph, 94, of Pulaski, formerly of Butler, passed away at 8:44 p.m. Tuesday at her home.

She was born on Dec. 24, 1919, in Butler to the late Herman H. Graff and Gussie C. Risch Graff.

Margaret was a former member of the First English Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Maqueda Chapter 421 Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Balph is survived by her two sons, Arthur C. Balph and his wife, Jackie, of Okeana, Ohio, and Thomas J. Balph and his wife, Marilyn, of Mesa, Ariz.; her daughter, Karen E. Riethmiller and her husband, Richard, of Pulaski; her six grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Thelma Jean Cross and her husband, Harold, of Butler and Charlotte Schroth and her husband, Gerald, of Slippery Rock; and her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Balph, who she married on Aug. 5, 1939, and who passed away on Jan. 21, 2001; her two brothers; and three sisters.

Balph— The friends of Margaret B. Balph, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, will be received from 11 a.m. to services at 1 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor Jeff Harris of Crossroad Community officiating.
