Floyd G. “Gibby” Fair, 91, of Butler passed away Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Feb. 3, 1923, in Butler, he was a son of the late James N. Fair and Melda Bish Fair.

Gibby was in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a master sergeant after 28 years. He then worked for Butler County Ford in Butler in the service department and also as a driver.

He enjoyed reading Popular Mechanics magazine and reading books about engines, cars and airplanes.

Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers and his sister.
