Margaret Olszewski
Surrounded by her loving family and never one to miss a family birthday party full of love and laughter, Margaret Theresa Olszewski passed away Thursday, the day after her 87th birthday at Norbert Personal Care Home in Pittsburgh, where she was a resident.
Annabelle, “Marge” as she was lovingly known by her family and friends, was born in 1927. A lifetime Pittsburgher, she was the daughter of John and Rose Fitchwell, who preceded her in death. She was the sister to John, Jim, Frank and Jean Ann. She is survived by her brother Frank Fitchwell.
Always a devoted wife and mother, Marge valued her family more than anything else in her life. She was married to Thomas Olszewski, who passed in 2004, for 57 years. They had five children, who carry on her legacy of family first, Tom (Karen) Olszewski of Washington, Roseann (Joe) Vachal of Latrobe, Bill (Suzie) Olszewski of Butler, Judy Olszewski (Tom Foley) of Pittsburgh and Tracy (Damon) Lippert of Pittsburgh.
As “Grammy with the white hair,” she will also be deeply missed by her 11 grandchildren, Jarrod, Shayna, Jessica, Tom, Jason, John, Danielle, Jill, Damon, Logan and Nicole; and 13 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Dakota, Tyler, Grace, Jacob, Dylan, Kole, Nathan, Riley, Cooper, Landon, Emily and Keaton.
