Jean L. Marchiori

Jean L. Marchiori, 89, of East Brady, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born March 2, 1925, in Brockport, she was the daughter of Battista and Eugenia (Pedrini) Marchiori.

A 1947 Horton Township High School graduate, Jean spent her career as a secretary-receptionist for General Motors-Rochester Carburetor Division.

She enjoyed cooking, bowling and tending to her flower garden, and she had a special affection for all animals. She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt.

Jean is survived by one brother, Robert and his wife, Ann Marchiori, of Brockport; one sister-in-law, Judy Marchiori of Brockport; one brother-in-law, Darl Eck of East Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Mario, Frank and Louis Marchiori; and three sisters, Flora Battitori, Eva Marchiori and Josephine Eck.

MARCHIORI — Per the request of Jean L. Marchiori, who died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, there will be no viewing and a memorial service and committal will be held at the convenience of the family.Arrangements are under the direction of the Buechele Funeral Home, East Brady.Jean's family suggests donations be made in her name to the Shelter of Hope, P.O.
