A woman and a baby were hospitalized after firefighters rescued them from the second floor of a burning Pittsburgh home.

Firefighters say another woman was also injured in the three-alarm blaze today around 4 a.m. in the city's Point Breeze section.

The women were listed in critical condition at West Penn Hospital. The infant is in stable condition.

Five people escaped the home unhurt.

An investigation is continuing.

Allegheny County says rental car giant Hertz owes more than $700,000 in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties after the company directed about half of a $2-a-day rental tax's proceeds into state coffers.Hertz said Tuesday it shouldn't have to pay the penalties because it didn't intend to deprive Allegheny County when it mistakenly sent $435,577 in Pittsburgh International Airport taxes to the state.The company blamed “administrative oversight.”The county treasurer's office says Hertz must pay the full amount within 10 days or request a hearing. The county says Hertz could try to get a refund from the state.A county audit discovered the missing taxes. It also found Hertz owed the airport $17,153 in unreported revenue.Hertz says it's working with the county to resolve the matter.
