Regis J. 'Rege' Bopp

Regis J. “Rege” Bopp, 74, of Butler passed away Thursday evening at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born on Nov. 24, 1940, in Butler, he was the son of the late John A. and Emily Valentine Bopp.

He was a retired mail handler at the Bulk Mail Center in Warrendale. He also was previously employed at Pullman Standard.

Rege attended Robert Morris Business School.

He was a member of the Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler.

Rege enjoyed bus trips, going to casinos, and playing cards and bingo.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Biffaretti Bopp, to whom he was married for 11 years; his two sisters, Patricia Burns and her husband, William, of Butler and Carolyn Malinak of Butler; a special great-nephew, Henry Burns, and a special great-niece and goddaughter, Libby Burns.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers and two sisters.

Bopp — The friends of Regis J. “Rege” Bopp, who passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at theMartin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.Members of the Saint Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday at the Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church to recite the rosary, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
