Multivehicle crash on I-80 leaves at least 1 dead
A multivehicle fatal accident on Interstate 80 has forced the closing of the westbound lanes.
The accident occurred east of the Clarion exit.
Rescue personnel still are on the scene.
Brad Rehak, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, said there is a band of snow extending southeast from Lake Erie.
Rehak said the snow is not a steady band, but said the high wind gusts can blow previously fallen snow back across roads, making for dangerous travel conditions.
Rehak said gusts have reached more than 30 mph across Western Pennsylvania.
The Allegheny-Clarion Valley basketball game against Clarion-Limestone High School has been rescheduled for Jan. 28. No new date has been picked for the girls basketball game against Clarion-Limestone.
