The Butler County commissioners this morning awarded a contract for a bridge work in Zelienople.

The commissioners approved a $59,950 contract to Laminated Concepts of Big Flats, N.Y., to install a new deck on the Iron City Bridge on Market Street.

The company submitted the only bid to do the work on the county bridge.

The county will rebid for concrete blocks needed for the bridge replacement because no companies submitted bids to supply the blocks.

The project is funded by state natural gas drilling impact fees that the county receives.
