Mary Jeanne Mullen (Buck)
Mary Jeanne Mullen (Buck) passed away Sunday in Baltimore, Md., surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on Nov. 6, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Mullen and Sue Braham Mullen of Butler.
She spent her childhood years in the Butler area, graduating from Butler High School and subsequently from The College of Wooster in Ohio. She later earned a master's degree at Northeastern University in Boston and entered the medical and health care fields, most recently working in the Human Resources department of the Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
Her shining spirit, wit and courage were evident throughout her life, never more so than during her four-year battle with multiple myeloma. She lived her life fully to the end, organizing donor drives to widen the donor registry for potential bone marrow transplants, and she spoke and wrote to increase public awareness about some of the lesser-known cancers.
Her spirit lives on in the lives of her husband, Robert Buck of Towson, Md.; their daughters, Victoria Buck and Sophia Buck; her brother, Timothy Mullen of Saxonburg and his wife, Marguerite Supler Mullen; her nephews, Daniel Mullen and Andrew Mullen, and her aunt, Jeanne Braham of Sunderland, Mass. She also leaves a host of devoted friends and extended family.
Mullen — A memorial service honoring the life of Mary Jeanne Mullen (Buck), who passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Towson Presbyterian Church in Towson, Md.
