ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Area Public Library, 227 S. High St., will hold a genealogy collaborative work session from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 12.

Susan Ennis, Seneca Valley librarian and genealogical researcher, will guide participants through methods and sources to find missing pieces of their genealogy puzzles.

Participants may take their genealogy information and are encouraged to take their own laptops or tablets to use for the workshop.

There will be another session Jan. 26 and there are plans to continue meeting through the spring.

The program is free and registration is not required.

Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will host “Clean Cooking 101” starting at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Alameda Park Office, 184 Alameda Park Road.Abbey Walsh, who has a master's degree in nutrition, will teach the course.Participants in the four introductory classes will learn the basics of how to cook more wholesome meals. The first two classes will include 30-minute meals and the last two classes will focus on special occasion meals. Meals will include homemade infused beverages.Seating will be very limited.
