Robert Mariacher, 80, of Butler passed away Saturday at the Saxony Health Center in Saxonburg.

He was born on Oct. 10, 1934, in Butler County, the son of the late Benjamin and Martha Crawford Mariacher.

Robert retired after 40 years of service from the Machine Shop of Armco Steel.

He was a Korean War Air Force and Army Reserve veteran. He had belonged to the Odd Fellows and the Masons. He enjoyed hunting and traveling.

Surviving are his wife, Joan S. Taylor Mariacher, whom he married on Sept. 25, 1957; his daughter, Rosemary Stutz of Butler; his son, Benjamin Mariacher of Spring Ranch, Texas, and three grandchildren.
