Richard 'Dick' I. Ealy

Richard “Dick” I. Ealy, 80, of Petrolia passed away Sunday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

Born on June 7, 1934, in Concord Township, Butler, he was the son of the late Raymond and Gertrude Ace Ealy.

A graduate of the former Hooker-Concord Township High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged with the rank of airmen 3rd class.

Dick retired from Pullman Standard and later was a township supervisor for Washington Township.

He was married to Wilma C. Ice Ealy, who preceded him in death on Dec. 26, 1996.

Dick was a Protestant.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 0598 of Parker, as well as a lifetime member of the North Washington Volunteer Fire Department.

Dick loved to watch NASCAR and was an even bigger fan of WWE, formerly WWF, wrestling.

Dick's family would like to thank Doyle, Les and Dan for their daily care of assisting Dick in the final years of his life. Their generosity was recognized and appreciated.

Dick is survived by his two stepsons, Philip (Debbie) Dallos of Bradenton, Fla., and William Paul (Cindy) Dallos of Chesapeake, Va.; his stepdaughter, Mary K. Kauf of West Sunbury; his brother, Glenn “Cy” (Barb) Ealy of Chicora; his sister, Alice (Bob) Scott of Grove City; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dick was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Barbara Dallos Felix; his stepson, Stephen Dallos Jr.; his two sisters, Helen Jamison and Aileen Thompson; and his two brothers, Dale and Paul Ealy.

Ealy — The friends of Richard “Dick” I. Ealy, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, will be received from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.Military honors will follow promptly at 7 p.m. at the funeral home by the VFW and American Legion of Parker with the funeral service starting immediately after.
