Peggy Anne Parris Hemphill of O'Hara Township passed away peacefully Saturday at her home with family at her side.

She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Richard W. Hemphill M.D.; loving mother of Douglas (Vito) Hemphill and Pam Hemphill (Robert) Barkus; cherished grandmother of Alison (Dave) Roperti, Bobby (Stephanie) Barkus, Marah (Justin) McMillin, Victoria Hemphill, Edan Hemphill and the late Kit Barkus; great-grandmother of Anna and Nick Roperti; and sister of Thomas (Mary) Parris.

Peggy was a retired registered nurse and clinical instructor at West Penn Hospital.

Hemphill— There will be no visitation for Peggy Anne Parris Hemphill, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, 384 Fox Chapel Road, Pittsburgh.The family respectfully suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kit Barkus Music Scholarship Fund c/o Robert Barkus, 134 September Drive, Butler, PA 16002.Arrangements are by the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, Aspinwall.
