Earl L. Ebeling

Earl L. Ebeling, 77, of Portersville passed away Saturday in the Emergency Room of Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 3, 1937, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edwin E. and Sally Bars Ebeling.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and belonged to the VFW in Zelienople.

Earl retired in 2012 from Alcoa.

He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, listening to music, and playing baseball for Middle Lancaster.

He is survived by his two children, Janie (Jere) Gilligan of Brookville and Douglas (Sheila) Ebeling of Portersville; five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria J. Ebeling, who passed away on July 29, 1991; his grandson, Jason Gilligan, and his sister, Nancy Turner.

Ebeling — The family and friends of Earl L. Ebeling, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Portersville Bible Church, 156 E. Portersville Road, Portersville, with the Rev. Michael Charles officiating.
