MANAMA, Bahrain — The U.S. Navy says one of its helicopters crash-landed during training at Camp Buehring in Kuwait and that the six-member crew survived, with some sustaining minor injuries.

Cmdr. Kevin Stephens, the spokesman for the Navy's 5th Fleet, said three crew members had to be treated for minor injuries at a nearby medical facility but were subsequently released.

Stephens told The Associated Press from Bahrain, the base of the 5th Fleet, that the Navy's MH-60S rolled over after a hard landing during the exercise Sunday evening. Stephens says the helicopter was substantially damaged.

The Navy says there was no hostile activity involved in the crash.
