Jean Worrell

Jean L. Worrell, 93, formerly of Wurtemburg, passed away Friday at the Evergreen Nursing Center following an extended illness.

Born on Jan. 13, 1921, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Carrie Painter Curry.

She was married for 60 years to Floyd G. Worrell Jr., who passed away on Feb. 10, 2002.

Mrs. Worrell graduated from Butler High School in 1939. She retired from the Ellwood City School District in 1984 where she was the librarian and a teacher’s aide.

She was a member of the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church and the Democratic Woman’s Club.

Survivors include her son, Floyd G. (Donna Mercuri) Worrell III of Naples, Fla.; her daughter, Janna (William) Milburn of Ormond Beach, Fla.; her granddaughter, Sasha (Andrew Tasler) Sulia of Bend, Ore., and her great-grandson, Gray Tasler.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gretchen King, and her brother, Dale Curry.

Worrell — Visiting hours for Jean L. Worrell, who passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, will be from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City, with her pastor, the Rev. Julia Williamson, officiating.
