George Wolford

George B. Wolford, 63, of Hampton Township, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away Tuesday of ALS with his family by his side.

Born on Feb. 12, 1951, in Butler, he was the son of the late George S. and Leota McCracken Wolford.

George worked at Mellon Bank for more than 34 years as a manager in information technology.

He enjoyed woodworking, shooting pool, vacationing at the Outer Banks and driving his yellow Corvette. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his new grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Laurel Newman Wolford; his three daughters, Niki Wolford, Courtney (Brad) Fletcher and Bethany Wolford; and his grandson, Brayden Fletcher.

Wolford — George's family will welcome friends of George B. Wolford, who passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at theKing Funeral Home, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1965 Ferguson Road, Allison Park. A reception at a nearby restaurant will follow the memorial service.If desired, memorial donations may be made in George's honor in support of the ALS Association, Western Pennsylvania Chapter, 416 Lincoln Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15209, or online at wpawv.alsa.org.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with George's family at www.kingfuneralhome.com.
