Bowlers win county event

BUTLER TWP — Bowser’s Bowlers — consisting of Jim Bowser, Mike Coyle, Jake Atwell and Tom Schiebel — won the team handicap portion of the recently completed Butler County Bowling Association Tournament.

The team tallied a 3,231 handicap score, beating out runner-up Rolling Stones by 10 pins.

Team Cooter won the scratch portion of the team competition with an actual score of 2,638, a winning margin of 92 pins over Rolling Stones.

Adam Walker won the singles handicap title with a 932, beating out Dave Trainor by 46 pins. Trainor won the age 50-59 division by 43 pins over John Lorenz.

Schiebel won the 60-69 division with an 832, edging Don Young by nine pins. Dale Pennington won the 70-older division with a 710, one pin better than David Rouda.
