Michael Omer Burns

Michael Omer Burns, 65, of Washington, Pa., passed away Wednesday at Washington Hospital.

He was born on Oct. 10, 1949, in Butler, the son of the late William and Agnes Hahn Burns.

He was a graduate of Point Park College.

Michael was a chemist for Pennsylvania American Water for 30 years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He served as a Cub Scout leader for Pack 1004.

On April 1, 1993, he married Melody Ann Wootton, who survives.

Also surviving are his son, Christopher (Samantha) Pierce of Washington; his sister, Margaret (William) Briedenbaugh of Texas, and his three grandchildren, Taylor, Sienna and Alexis Pierce.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Patrick Burns.
