Lucille Barbara Pranulis Murphy Stamm

Lucille Barbara Pranulis Murphy Stamm, 86, of Franklin Township, Butler County, passed away Wednesday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born on Jan. 5, 1928, in Vandergrift, she was the daughter of the late John and Francis Ann Churka Pranulis Sr.

She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a VBS teacher and an AWANA leader.

She worked as a school bus driver for the former Bryans Bus Co. in Prospect, a secretary at the former Tuck's Garage in Unionville and a waitress at Roxy's Diner in Prospect.

She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, gardening, flowers, raising wild birds and working at Pranulis' Greenhouse.

She is survived by her children, Robert O. (Janet) Murphy Jr. of Butler and Barbara A. (Doug) Lindey of Butler; her four stepchildren, Pam Walker, Sandy Schreffler, Beverly Snow and Kaye Dunkerlery; her three grandchildren, Tony Murphy, Melinda Benninger and Caleb Lindey; her great-grandson, Noah Lindey; her 11 stepgrandchildren; and her 22 step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert O. Murphy Sr., who passed away in 1969; her second husband, Warren Stamm, who passed away in 2010; her stepson, Randy Stamm; and her two brothers, John Pranulis and Bernie Pranulis.

Stamm — The family and friends of Lucille Barbara Pranulis Murphy Stamm, who passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2251 Prospect Road, Prospect, with the Pastor Ben Oesterling officiating.
