Barbara A. Voltz
Barbara A. Voltz, 71, of Sarver died Friday morning in the emergency room at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.
Born Aug. 9, 1943, in Altoona, she was a daughter of the late Harold Dodson and Elizabeth Leightner Dodson.
She was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot. She enjoyed making crafts, sewing, cooking and canning. She also was a seamstress.
Surviving are her husband, James L. Voltz, who she married on June 20, 1964; her seven children, Carrie (Marlyn) Graffius of East Freedom, Charlotte Burchanowski of Sarver, James (Polly) Voltz Jr. of Bellefonte, Jeffrey Voltz of Newcumberstown, Ohio, Christina (Michael) Salasky of Butler, Brenda Voltz of Sarver and Timothy Voltz of Sarver; her eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joseph, Henry, Angelica, Katrina, Samuel, Emma and Alyssa; and her sister, Carol Leonard of Hollidaysburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Weidley.
Voltz — Friends of Barbara A. Voltz, who died Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler,A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Herman.
