Armel E. Treese

Armel E. Treese, 88, formerly of Cranberry Township, passed away surrounded by his loving family Monday.

Born on June 25, 1926, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Roy B. and Ada R. Albright Treese.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 67 years, Jean J. Gebhardt Treese; his two loving children, Linda J. Treese and Timothy A. (Kimberly Carson) Treese; his adored granddaughter, Jennifer Treese; his sister, Nancy G. Goertler; his two nieces, Val Conover and Robin (Barry) Trenchard; his nephew, Mike (Linda) Goertler; and his grandniece, Alyssa Trenchard.

Treese— The Treese family will welcome friends of Armel E. Treese, who passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Plains Presbyterian Church, 326 Plains Church Road, Cranberry Township, with the Rev. Derek Marotta and the Rev. Dean Lavender co-officiating. Friends are asked to please meet at the church.Armel will be laid to rest with military honors at the Plains Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Cranberry Township.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Armel's honor in support of the Plains Presbyterian Church or Gateway Hospice, 9380 McKnight Road, Suite 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Armel's family at www.glennkildoofuneralhome.com.
