Bonita Kay Newcome

Bonita Kay Newcome, 63, of Butler passed away at 10 a.m. Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

She was born on June 20, 1951, in Butler to the late Clyde S. Newcome and Ruth M. Groves Newcome.

Bonita was a graduate of Knoch High School, then she attended New Castle Business School.

She worked as a secretary at the Butler Color Press and Energy Services, retiring in June 2013.

Bonita is survived by her two sisters, Cherie Newcome Schultz of Butler and Pat Varnum Jones of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; four nieces, Gail Varnum Ortiz, Karen Varnum Nunna, Maya Nunna, and Emma Schultz, and six nephews, Ryan Varnum, Brian Schultz, Todd Schultz, Gregory Schultz, Roshan Nunna, and Vikrum Nunna.

Newcome — There will be no public visitation for Bonita Kay Newcome, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014.A memorial service will be later at the First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., Butler, with Pastor David Maitland officiating.Arrangements are by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
