William J. Gaertner
William J. Gaertner, 69, of Harmony passed away Friday evening at his home.
Born on April 6, 1945, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Margaret I. Davis Gaertner.
Bill was a Protestant.
He had worked as a truck driver for Manheim Auto Auction.
Bill enjoyed walking his dogs, Sasha and Buster. He also enjoyed sports, going to the library and gambling. But most of all, he treasured time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Dunlap Gaertner, on May 6, 2005, and his son, William “Billy” Gaertner Jr.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Laura Marburger of Fenelton; his son, Arthur (Linda) Gaertner of Harmony; his three sisters, Peggy (Rich) Watson of Freedom, Linda (Bob) McAfee of Harmony and Karen (Greg) Gavulich of Ambridge; his five grandchildren, including Crystal (Bob) Grubbs and Stephanie “Sam” (Nick) Moran, and his two great-granddaughters, Mylee and Abby.
Gaertner— The friends of William J. Gaertner, who passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, will be received from 6 p.m. to time of services at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Carl A. Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W.
