Betty Lou Kretzler Ferment
Betty Lou Kretzler Ferment, 84, of Moon Township passed away Sunday at RoseCrest Assisted Living in Mars.
She was born on June 19, 1930, in Sewickley, the daughter of the late Henry W. and Alma Irene Fye Kretzler.
She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew “Andy” Ferment; loving mother of Andrea Louise Ferment of Ashland, Va., Cheryl Lee (Brian) Chaborek of West Chester, Melinda Jane (Rob) Badger of Prospect, and the late Henry Ferment, who passed away in 2005; cherished grandmother of Carleton Andrew Ferment, Victoria Anne Chaborek, Andrew John Chaboreck, and Matthew Raymond Badger; proud great-grandmother of Lucas Andrew Ferment, and sister of the late Jayne Nippes, Ethel Biancucci and Wanda Musgrove.
She was a member of the St. Margaret Mary Church and its ladies guild.
She was also a switchboard operator for the Moon School District and was involved with the Girl and Boy Scouts.
She enjoyed reading, traveling with her sister, Jayne, playing Scrabble, and solving crossword puzzles.
Ferment — Visitation for Betty Lou Kretzler Ferment, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, will be from 11 a.m. until time of blessing service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Copeland Funeral Home, 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Township, with the Fr. Frank Kurimsky officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
