William J. Heckert III
William J. Heckert III, 24, of Butler passed away Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler on Jan. 22, 1990, he was the son of Kelly Gumbert Heckert and the late William J. Heckert II.
William was formerly employed at the United Plate Glass Co.
He was a member of the Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler.
William was a beautiful, free-souled young man. With his wonderful personality, he always put a smile on the face of everyone he ever met. He lit up every room he ever walked into.
In his school days, William served as president of his class at Butler Junior High School, was voted Class Clown and received an MVP award for football.
William was musically inclined, just like his father. The love he had for his three nieces is irreplaceable.
He is survived by his beloved paternal grandmother, Rose Heckert of Butler; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Louise Morris of Michigan; his mother, Kelly Gumbert Heckert of Butler; his two sisters, Ashley Nicole Heckert and Chelsea Lynn Heckert, both of Butler; his brother, Ian Lee Heckert of Butler; and his future brother-in-law, Robert R. Saul Jr. of Butler.
He is also survived by his three nieces, Kaydence Heckert, Brittany Green and Jordyn Saul, all of Butler; his three aunts, Cynthia Urbano and her husband, Ken Kellen, of New Kensington, Cheryl Deal and her husband, Frank, of Butler, and Jamie Ferland of Steelton; and his best friend and cousin, Kristen Deal of Butler.
In addition to his father, William was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William J. Heckert Sr.; his maternal grandfather, James C. Gumbert; and his aunt, Connie Bergbigler.
