Pearl E. McGill

Pearl E. McGill, 81, of Grove City passed away at 5:19 a.m. Saturday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born on May 1, 1933, in Murrinsville, Marion Township, Butler County, to the late William Haggerty and Myrtle Adams Haggerty.

She was married to Gerald L. McGill on May 26, 1975, and he passed away on May 8, 2014.

Pearl was a homemaker and formerly was a telephone operator for the Bell Telephone Co. of Pennsylvania.

She was a member of the Church of The Beloved Disciple, Grove City.

Pearl was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, never missing a game on television or the radio.

Survivors include her son, Alan D. McGill and his wife, Rebecca, of Somers Point, N.J.; her two grandchildren, Ian McGill and Leah McGill of Somers Point, N.J.; and her niece, Bev Sloan and her family, who cared for Pearl and helped her out greatly.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her seven sisters, Mable Duffy, Eleanor Francischinni, Edna Gajewski, Sarah VanDyke, Mary Polischeck, Lula Salusky and an infant sister, and her three brothers, James Haggerty and two infant brothers.

McGill— Services for Pearl E. McGill, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, are private for her family.Arrangements are by theCunningham Funeral Home, Grove City.
