Victor V. Scott
Victor V. Scott, 84, of Butler passed away Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospice, Butler, surrounded by his family.
He was born on June 5, 1930, in Butler, the son of the late Joseph Schnitzki and Ann Lupashinski Schnitzki.
Victor graduated from Wayne State University, Detroit, Mich., in 1958 with a degree in pharmacy. He was a pharmacist for more than 30 years and the former owner of Evans City Drug.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955.
He was a member of the St. Fidelis Parish and was famous for his lemon meringue pies. He was a fabulous cook who loved gardening and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Lorene Benninger Scott, who he married on June 2, 1956; his three children, Eric P. Scott of Meridian, Melissa S. (Joe) Krach of Monaca and Dawn (Joe) L. Spryn of Butler; his three grandchildren, Oliver Spryn, Ian Spryn and Jacob Krach; his sister, Margaret Berant of Clinton Township, Mich., and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 14 half-brothers and sisters.

Scott, who passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, will be from 10 a.m. until time of memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Fidelis Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler.
