John W. Wasko

John W. Wasko, 71, of Zelienople passed away Friday.

Born on Dec. 5, 1942, in Bellevue, he was the son of Evelyn Wasko of Cranberry Township and the late George Wasko Sr.

John enjoyed his job as a car salesman at Kasing Auto Sales in Harmony for 40 years.

He was passionate about show cars and street rods, and collecting Hot Wheels Cars, motorcycling and participating in car cruises. Above all, John loved spending time with his friends and family. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his mother, John leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 30 years, Trisha Kosht-Wasko, who he married on Aug. 4, 1984; his brother, George Wasko Jr. and his wife, Sue, of DuBois; his stepdaughter, Malorie Kosht Novak and her husband, Raymond, of North Augusta, S.C., and his brother-in-law, Wayne Kosht of Moon Township.

In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by his sister, Judith A. Schroeder, and his brother-in-law, Donald L. Schroeder.

Wasko — The family of John W. Wasko, who passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Andrew Shaffer officiating. John will be laid to rest at Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in John's honor in support of the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Center Township, PA 15001.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with John's family at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
