Cheryl Ann McKnight Goebel
Cheryl Ann McKnight Goebel, 58, of Cranberry Township, who was born on Oct. 1, 1956, passed to that house not made with hands, eternal in the Heavens, on Oct. 1, 2014.
It was her birthday and she was very happy, taking a road trip to the places she loved to visit. While taking a picture at Breakneck Bridge, her camera fell to the bottom of the deep gorge. I went down to get it, but couldn't find it. I didn't see her trying to get down at a place where you couldn't. She fell over a cliff and died in my arms.
I have lost the love of my life and partner for 32 years. I have a wound in my heart that will never heal. She was a caregiver to the elderly, the sick and myself. She was a great homemaker and cook, and worked with me on stone jobs and water features.
She was a very small but mighty woman who enjoyed the simple things in life, decorating our home for each season and working in her flower and vegetable garden. She loved to paddle around our pond in her canoe, counting the frogs and feeding the goldfish. She loved her huskies, which we have had for 32 years.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ronald Goebel; her brother, James McKnight; her nieces and nephews; her great-aunt; several cousins, and friends too numerous to count.
She will be missed by all. Tears flow as a river.
