Roland M. Wise

Roland M. Wise, 78, of Evans City passed away Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

He was born on Aug. 4, 1936, in Windber.

Roland proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

After 31 years of dedicated service, he retired from the Pennsylvania State Police Department. After retirement, he worked at the Reddi-Green Turf Farm for 18 years.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Harmony Lodge 429 F& AM and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle. Roland was also a member of the PIN Club of the Pennsylvania State Police. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 54 years, Shirley A. Hoffman Wise; his son, Roland Wise and his wife, Ann, their children, Megan and Andrew; his son, Matthew Wise and his daughter, Susan Wise; his brother, James E. Weise and his wife, Bev; his sister, Judith E. Pomroy and her husband, Harry, and several nieces and nephews.

Wise — The family of Roland M. Wise, who passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at theBoylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
