Elizabeth P. Bowland

Elizabeth P. Bowland, 89, of Cabot passed away Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born June 30, 1925, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary White Jones.

She served with her husband as a pastor's wife in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for 49 years. They served churches in Great Belt Butler Crosswinds, Punxsutawney, Indiana, Beaver and Franklin. They also served in the Western PA District Office as assistant district superintendent and wife.

Elizabeth was known for her smile, sweet ways, listening ear, open heart and home. Her greatest love was the Lord and her family.

Surviving are her daughters, Carol (Richard) States of Cortland, Ohio, and Donna (Ernest) Conley of Pittsburgh; her son, David (Carol) Bowland of Lucernemines; and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Ellis Jones, and her sister, Ruth Yacko.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. David L. Bowland, who passed away June 6, 2010, and her sister, Doris Morrisson.

Bowland— The friends of Elizabeth P. Bowland, who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, will be received from 1 p.m. to time of service 2 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, with her son-in-law, the Rev. Ernest Conley, officiating.
