Goldie Edith Mondell Daniels

Goldie Edith Mondell Daniels, 89, of North Huntingdon passed away Monday in Arden Courts of Jefferson Hills, Clairton.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1925, in Goff, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Mondell Sr.

Goldie was employed by Armco during World War II, and was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Coulter.

Goldie was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at Sunday dinners.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Alex Daniels; her two brothers, Joseph Jr. and Elmer Mondell, and her two sisters, Velma Barone and Sophia Gostey.

She is survived by her son, James L. Daniels of North Huntingdon; her daughter, Linda (Ralph) Halverson of Port Vue; her three grandchildren, Robert (Rhonda) Phillips, Christopher (Ellen) Phillips and Timothy Daniels; and her two great-grandsons, Steve Alex Daniel Phillips and Jacob Donovan Phillips.

Daniels — Friends of Goldie Edith Mondell Daniels, who died Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon.
