Joan Murphy Leetch
Joan Murphy Leetch, 85, of Sharpsville, formerly of Butler, passed away Tuesday.
Mrs. Leetch was born on Dec. 8, 1928, in Butler, to the late Edward T. and Helen Holby Murphy.
A January 1947 graduate of Butler High School, she was formerly employed as a secretary in the engineering department of the Peoples Telephone Co.
She moved to Sharpsville in 1965.
At one time, she was a drummer for the Butler Catholic Daughters of America Drum and Bugle Corps.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen L. (Kevin) Jacobsen of Fairfax, Va.; her son, James E. (Linda) Leetch of Hermitage; her four grandsons, Kenneth J. and John E. Leetch, and Robert J. (Lacey) and Steven K. Jacobsen, and her three great-grandchildren, Cherrylin Leetch, Carter James Leetch and Kenley Grace Jacobsen.
Her husband, Kenneth F. Leetch Jr., whom she married 65 years ago on July 14, 1949, survives at home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward T. Murphy Jr.
