George S. Wueschinski

George S. Wueschinski, 76, of Saxonburg was called home to eternal rest Saturday.

He was born on Dec. 25, 1937, to the late Harry Sr. and Sarah Newcomber Wueschinski in Dillsburg.

George was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose 71, where he served as governor.

He retired from the Mars School District as a custodian.

He loved to travel, to be outdoors and to see the elk in Elk County. He enjoyed yard sales, playing cards and Scrabble, and spending time with his family.

He leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Ruth; his two daughters, Kathleen (William) Caugherty of Brackenridge and Rebecca (Albert) Davis of Arnold; his two stepsons, Michael Steele of Ford City and Dale Steele of Slate Lick; and his stepdaughter, Melanie Witmer and her companion, Lenny McGuire, of Saxonburg, who we want to thank for everything she did for our dad. He also leaves behind his brother, James (Diane) Wueschinski of Alabama; his six grandsons; his granddaughter; his three great-grandsons; and his three great-granddaughters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years, Loretta Hutsenpiller Wueschinski; his three sisters; his four brothers; and his granddaughter.

Wueschinski — The friends of George S. Wueschinski, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W.
