Ruth M. Cypher
Ruth M. Cypher, 88, of Butler passed away Friday at her home.
Born Jan. 23, 1926, in Cabot, she was the daughter of the late H. Williard Wagner and Louise (Goepfert) Wagner of Cabot.
In addition to being a lifetime homemaker, she was a retired school bus driver from the family business, Cypher School Bus Co. She was also a retired health aid worker from Concordia.
She was the mother of five children, Nancy (Larry) Cypher of Georgia, Sandra (Dennis) Charlton of Florida, Leo John (Barbara) Cypher Jr. of Cabot, Roger Cypher of Butler and Celeste (James) Faust of Butler; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Bernice Lamont Hook of Cabot.
She had been a member of the Christian Mothers, Cabot A & R and the Grange.
She enjoyed flea markets, garage sales, bowling and card playing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo John Cypher Sr., in 1999.
CYPHER — Friends of Ruth M. Cypher, who died Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg,A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Herman.Memorial donations may be made to the South Butler Community Library.
